‍Job Description: We are seeking an innovative Chief Data Scientist who is passionate about taking emerging research and applying it commercially to join our leadership team at Narratize. You will oversee the entire data science lifecycle, aligning the data strategy with the business goals and vision, and helping us make smart decisions to deliver an industry-best Generative AI platform. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the growth of Narratize and the future of AI-driven innovation.

‍In this role you will:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy to support the company's goals and objectives.
• Drive innovation in generative AI technologies, including NLP,  industry and domain-specific models and workflows tailored to the unique needs of our clients.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data infrastructure and systems to support data analysis and modeling activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business value and inform decision-making.
• Engage directly in data science activities, and build, lead and mentor a team of data scientists and researchers over time, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation in alignment with Narratize’s values. 
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data science and machine learning, and identify opportunities for applying emerging technologies, ensuring that our technology remains at the forefront of innovation.
• Communicate key insights and findings to stakeholders across the organization, including senior leadership, to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with relevant data privacy and security regulations, and implement best practices for data governance and data management in AI-driven content generation.

What We’re Looking For

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics (graph-based preferred), mathematics, or related field.
•  8 years of experience in a data science role, with 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
• Expertise in machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining techniques, with hands-on experience building, training, fine-tuning, and deploying predictive models, including transformer-based LLMs.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries such as scikit-learn, PyTorch,  or TensorFlow.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets, and knowledge of data management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically about how generative AI and predictive analytics can be used to drive business value.
