As the Chief Technology Officer, you are responsible for providing strategic technical and product leadership and oversight for the Narratize platform, a cloud-native SaaS application striving to be the ultimate AI product intelligence platform. You collaborate closely with leadership to align engineering efforts with product and technology strategies. You maintain oversight of the current platform's performance and stability, while critically assessing the existing tech stack and developing the strategic roadmap for its future evolution. Additionally, you support technical due diligence and security reviews, working towards critical compliance readiness goals. You’re energized by the challenges of an early-stage startup and ready to shape what technical management looks like at Narratize from the ground up.
As CTO, you will oversee the end-to-end product development process, ensuring seamless execution, scalability, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. World-Class Product Architecture:
- Ensure our LLM-agnostic AI platform is built on a foundation of scalability, efficiency, and innovation.
- Strategic alignment with the GTM plan, ensuring every feature supports business and market goals.
- Guidance on when and how to build, ensuring development efforts are timed strategically for market readiness and internal resource alignment
- Closely collaborate with Narratize leadership to align engineering systems, features, and capabilities to both the product and technology strategies: ensuring seamless integration of cutting-edge technology into product development and innovation processes.
2. Strategic Product Management:
- Full lifecycle management, from product definition and feature prioritization to testing and launch.
- Cross-functional alignment between product, marketing, sales, and customer success to ensure development initiatives drive business growth from day one.
- Leverage advanced Al to streamline development processes, improve accuracy, and accelerate timelines, where reliable and appropriate
- Identify risks, assess solution proposals and oversee engineering talents’ (on-shore, off-shore, and in-house) engagement, quality and progress.
- Business engagement through board and sales participation as needed
3. Continuous Optimization:
- Maintain oversight of current platform performance and stability
- Rigorous testing and iteration processes to ensure a reliable, market-ready product.
- Incorporation of user feedback and data-driven insights to refine the product post-launch
- Lend technical support and strategy for delivery of client custom configurations to ensure consistent meeting of client expectations and service level agreements
What We’re Looking For
- Significant experience ( 7+ years) in enterprise software architecture and building solutions from early-stage through to scaling and maturity, displaying proactive leadership and problem-solving skills.
- An NDA is required before sharing the full list of technical experience required. At a minimum, you must have experience with a variety of foundational LLMs and using LLMs for RAG-based interactions. Experience building scalable, containerized, cloud-agnostic platforms, with seamless user experiences, leveraging a wide range of integrated services.
- Deep knowledge of full-stack modern development practices (ex: DevOps, APIs as well as Jira, GitHub, Figma, Google Suite) and practical application of knowledge in product development.
- Experience in venture-backed B2B SaaS companies, scaling from seed to series and beyond
- Ability to balance vision and strategy with execution
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively communicate between internal and external cross-functional audiences.
- Exceptional attention to detail, documentation, and communication
- Bias toward execution in fast-paced environments
- Passion for AI, innovation, and accelerating impact for users
- Experience in venture-backed B2B Saas companies, scaling from seed to series and beyond
- Ability to think strategically, holistically, and architecturally about how generative AI and predictive analytics can be used to drive business value, with relentless focus on innovative customers and how we are solving their problems.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and serve as the technical and product leader helping sales and customer success teams deliver with trust to our customers.
- Preferred, but not required - Experience building for R&D, Product engineering, new product innovation in manufacturing industries
